Your relationships to all things was created as a perfect tool for use in the work of the Soul. Think about it for a moment. Every relationship we'er in, whether it's with another human, an animal, a plant or even an inanimate object, causes us to experience the other's existence which then allows us to learn and grow.
Imagine yourself alone on a planet that was devoid of all life and nothing to interact or have a relationship with. Not only would you likely go mad, but your Soul couldn't grow either, which is one of it's prime directives.
Relationships require us to take stock of ourselves as we interact with others in our life. No relationship is more challenging to maintain than a romantic one, but this can be a blessing as well as we learn to enjoy and appreciate the challenges in our relationships. The mere existence of these challenges create the perfect opportunity for you to master the areas of your life and yourself where you have the least understanding. Your partner's qualities are often the very qualities that will bring about the perfect challenges to help you grow where you need it most, and want, to grow.
Oh sure, life could be simpler being a recluse or a monk, but these folks will never do as much real Soul work as others will when involved in challenging, and often complex human relationships.
It's nice to have some alone time, we all need that, but give me some relationship issues any day over being bored out of my skull while sitting alone on a mountain top. My Soul will thank me for the growth!
